Groundbreaking

On April 16, 2019, the Stanwood-Camano School District held a groundbreaking ceremony at the Church Creek Campus to kick off construction of the new Lincoln Hill High School, Lincoln Academy and Saratoga School; part of the $147.5 million bond package that community voters approved in February 2017. The estimated construction cost of this project is $19 million. The recommendation for contract award to Colacurcio Brothers, Inc., was presented to the Board and approved on April 2, 2019.

Lincoln Hill High School and Lincoln Academy provide learning opportunities in a non-traditional, more personalized environment for students. The programs are currently housed at the Church Creek Campus, which was originally designed for elementary students and remodeled in the 1990’s for secondary students. The Saratoga School, a parent-partner program that provides assistance to home school students, is located in two regular classrooms and two portable classrooms at Stanwood Middle School. Having a facility to meet the needs of all three programs in one location will be met with this new building and learning environment. Staff, students, parents, and community members are invited to join us in the groundbreaking ceremony for this exciting next phase of our bond construction.
